How to Smoke Brats
This is how I smoke my brats.
I normally cook my brats by placing them in a pot to simmer with a combination of chicken stock and beer, until they are almost cooked on the inside and then pan frying, or grilling them until they form a nice crust on the outside. That’s when you know it’s time to eat them.
But when I am smoking my brats I put them directly on the grill at 225 degrees until they reach temperature on the inside and then I turn the grill up until I get a nice charred crust.
